went to holly last night. conditions were actually pretty good. i gotta say, their t-park is still legit. 2 big kicker runs are still up. 3 rails set up- 8', 15' and a 20' (and i nailed all of them several times)! i was pretty happy last night! a 20' long picnic table box which was kinda sticky/slow. a 3' flat box, 2' flat box and a 1' flat down box all still up. 3 butter and battle ship boxes still up at the bottom of the t-park. im probably goin again on thurs to get back on the rails!!!!

leo, we've went this long without meeting-we can't ruin it and meet up now lol. jk im actually planning on a trip to boyne mtn for their crazy days (march 18-20) so i think im just gunna stay down south until then. these gas prices suck when you drive a gas guzzling truck! im hoping for an april run up to nubs this year again too. have fun at crystal though. demo for forum you said? let us kno how the forum gear is! 2012 stuff?

glad you had a good night Boardaddicktd... I went up to Pontiac Central after work last night to try and hit this rail we found and ended up chickening out. I'm pretty bummed about that because it wasn't even a difficult rail, it just psyched me out I think. Hope I can get back there this year to redeem myself


I'm leaving town tomorrow won't be back until Monday evening so no snowboarding for me for a while it looks like the weather is going to be pretty hit-or-miss the next few days with some rain and some snow in the 10-day forecast. I'd like to get out & ride next Tuesday or wednesday weather permitting.

I see how it is! LoL. Yea, 2012 gear. This will be my first time on their boards. I neglected them last year

Bindings too. They sent us a vague email about their Special Blend outerwear too so I don't know what's up with that. I know they will show it to us and we're all going to give our input to the soft good buyer here.

dave-dude maybe you just needed sumone there to do it with you! i know that usually gives me extra balls. next time lemme kno ill try an meet ya there. altho i bet the rail there came with consequences in the form of hard stairs or sketchy drops/landings. im not sure i'd have the balls for that yet either! did you take any pics of the rail?

Yes. Special Blend and Forum were part of 4 Star Distribution which Burton acquired some years back. So both companies are owned by Burton. However, they are still for all intents and purposes independently run companies. Meaning they have their own R&D. Of course, tech gets shared like the ICS you see on Forum boards. Forum handles the Special Blend line.

Jon was with me, he has the bungee. The nearest vehicle access is about 200 yards away so you can't use a winch. It is not hittable without a bungee unless you wanted to spend 12 hours building a massive drop-in

It was concrete stairs, but they were very wide stairs, maybe like 3feet wide so it wasn't super gnarly like a regular stair set. The landing was very short maybe 12 feet long and if you didn't stop in time there was about a 4 or 5 foot dropoff in to tennis courts and a rusty fence.

We are definitely going to try and get back to it this year, just praying that the weather cooperates with us. Even if we get a late snowfall after everything melts, we can build a runway & dropin with about 2" of snow probably.
