I get the same impression of Modern at the RO store; like they are predominately a skateboard store that sells snowboards in the off-season. Maybe it is just because I'm old, I (generally) know what I'm talking about and I can articulate what I want. You'd think they'd prefer to deal with customers like that, rather than some brat with mommy's credit card.

FYI all I am already putting together a calendar so I want to schedule some dates and lock them down that way I can tell the wifey, "Sorry, I've had this planned since September..."

What are your thoughts about doing a trip to Crystal on 12/17 (Saturday)? We could go up early in the morning on Saturday, spend the night in Cadillac, eat some burgers at Maggie's tavern afterwards...

You sound just like me when I was griping about it when I decided that I wasn't going to buy from them (exception for the $38 K2 Bliss bindings for the lady, zing!)


I'm down for the 12/17 for sure, no daughter that weekend. I'll put it in my phone to make sure I don't plan over it.

Yea, she did haha. However, I've far surpassed her passion for the sport. She's a very busy person because she's still in school along with a full time career and now a baby. Still loves to shred when we take vacations though and the occasional pine knob/holly family outing.

@David: I can't plan that far ahead. My schedule is very uncertain. But that date being a Saturday helps a ton. I'm not sure when we are going to do our annual family snow vacay this year. I know we went to Tahoe around that date last year though.

mine? Nope. I've been boarding since ~1995. I got her in to it a few seasons ago.

12/17 works for me; the baby will be over a month old by then so the wife should allow me to leave the house for an evening since I will probably be on lock down up until that point.

OOOh... you're going to be a parent. Have fun bro. It is definitely one heckuva ride. Mine is starting to walk on his own now. So fun to watch.
