Alright everyone since Summer is over, fall has just begun and we've already had our first rail jam of the year, it's time to start a new thread for the 10/11 winter.

Last year we had the "Southeast" michigan thread, but I think we should do all of Michigan. Sure, most of population lives in S/E michigan but we all ride the same resorts in the LP and even the UP if we get a chance, so we should have one thread to bring everyone together.

Cheers everyone we're probably only like 70 days from open resorts!

hey guys, new to the forum from the east side, not a whole lot of riding to do around here besides holly, knob, and alpine other than that im lookin at a pretty healthy drive to find a good hill so i do alot of jibbing where i can and when the conditions are right. anyone else from the easy side ? macomb county here. probably be riding more holly than anything this season considering knobs pretty cramped and alpine is always bombed out and is just an unfriendly environment from what i saw last season.

PK is my go-to on weeknights, because it's closest to my work. I ride Mt. Holly occasionally but I had a completely different experience than you at Alpine last season, their parks were always better maintained and less-crowded with way better features and an overall better vibe than Mt. Holly in my opinion. PK is the worst of the three, but it's convenient so I end up there a lot.

I will probably end up splitting time between equally between those places, with occasional road trips up north to Crystal, Nubs and hopefully Bohemia and just maybe to Pennsylvania or NY.

alpine was just a bad time for me, maybe ill shoot there this season and give it another shot, i like holly more i think because i was teaching my ex and she could ride alot more there without having to say hey ill catch you later im gonna go ride some park. i did venture out to brighton last season and it was pretty tight for the most part. good bar, nuff said.

im down for whatever this season as far as trips/ meets or whatever, post em here and ill come ride with you guys for a bit.

Yooper jumping in to this thread :p My first real season :D Just got my Sims board + bindings and Crazy Creek boots :D Already got an inch on the ground, and about 360 cms is the average snowfall during the season. Can't wait for about December 15, when all of the nearest hills/mountains open.

Do you guys use the metric system up there? :D

Are you in Marquette or over on the west side?

Trying to learn the metric system :p The thing I read about the snowfall was in cm, being a lazy American I didn't convert it to inches xD I'm up in Sault Ste. Marie, I can actually see the Canadian side from the student lounge at my college xD

Planning on probably going south a bit (heard there are some out west, have to research it) until I get my passport and all that fun stuff, then heading up to Searchmont or another one I heard a bit farther north/northwest.

Pretty good. Been going to PT. They just have me doing stretches and are giving me a shock treatment, ultrasound, and a great massage.

One of my muscles is badly knotted. The PT said, "Man, I do not know how you did this much damage from drying your hair."

So yea, this had to have been waiting to happen. The good thing is, I can turn my head all the way to the left again. I was afraid I was going to have to ride switch this whole season (I suck switch).

Alright, a bit of bad news for everyone...

There was a misunderstanding with the Cabin. The one we are getting is not one with a basement. That one is actually smaller than the one we stayed in last season. We had 9 people at one point in that cabin and two people had to sleep on the floor and it was pretty packed. However, two people had rooms that were single. We have a couple of couples so they get beds for sure. The other room can be shared by two dudes on a twin if they want haha.

Anyway, the bad part is now we need two cabins for sure. It sort of works out better though because we have other co-workers are coming now and they were going to get a small cabin themselves. Now we're thinking though, we should talk to Jeff (cabin owner) and ask about getting another semi-big cabin.

Bottom line, how do you guys feel about going back to the original price of $50? I know I said it's $42 already, but keep in mind a second cabin means a more comfortable situation. Let me know if anyone objects. I really don't think it should be a big deal. It's still a killer price for a weekend especially for those coming up on Friday. It's a great deal for one night. So basically I'm saying, don't whine and just pay up bitches! Haha, kidding. You are more than welcome to withdraw and find your own accommodations if need be. I'll refund your down payment and you are still welcome to ride with us and still be a part of the surprise.

Let me know if you have any objections to a final fee of $50.
