SouthEastern WI Black Friday riding??? - Snowboarding Forum

The weather here has been terrible for snow or snow making. Next weekend is Dec and 50* temps most of this week and through Thanksgiving weekend, not good news.

Tyrol is the only hill open with 1 chair and 1 tow cable. Anyone finding time to ride there or anywhere else?? I think Tyrol is the only one with snow.

The best we have right now and hats off to Tyrol for doing this great hill !!!!

Making our 2nd run there on Black Friday, post up if you've gotten out

As far as I know they are still the only one open in the area. Know Wilmot and Alpine are making snow but no word on opening day that I have heard yet.

Both Alpine and Wilmot opened already with limited runs. Anyone had a chance to get out and try either of them yet and how was it?

was at wilmot opening night. at one point the office line for season passes was a longer wait than the quad. snow was better early got icy towards the end of the night. Pretty much a free for all though.

I have been to Alpine Valley everyday since Thursday.
Report *as of last night*

All runs open except 2 beginner runs
All high speed quads up and running
Not crowded
powdery on top little icy in some spots but as they keep grooming it's getting better & better
NO terrain park features and just my guess not till at least next weekend
NO jumps other than some natural hits or under where the guns were and those were sketchy, unless you were a more advanced rider. Scout them 1st many had an unexpected kick ramp with a big groove on the landing side and would really shoot you up. Good if you knew how to hit it.

I saw the 1st ambulance of the year there pulling someone away, no details but hope they are ok.

Taking today off from the hill this dad is tired
