I have lived in MN for 2 years now. Been riding a couple local spots Afton welch and spirit mtn up in Duluth. Moved from the icy coast riding in VT. Looking for new places to go. Any sugjestions?

If you're up for the drive, Lutsen is the best in MN. Other than that, IMO Afton is the best within close proximity of Mpls.

Yeah I like Afton can get pretty crowded. Actually have ever been to trollhoggen

in WI? Where in MN are you from?

I'm in Blaine, north of the cities. I have never been to Trollhaugen. Afton can get crowded, I typically stay on the back side & away from the terrain park/jumps. It's not too bad there.

Lutsen is the best, I like Giants Ridge too.

You might want to check out powder ridge in kimbal, I've never been there but some of my friends like it.
Wild mountian is fun for pre-season riding in November.
If your into park hyland and those other tow rope hills are hard to beat.
Other than that Afton is about the only metro hill that I like but I don't ride down there often.

I've actually been to wild MTN not bad didnt see to much though there, was teaching my girl friend to snowboard and she actually sticking with it!

I def want to check out lutsen yet. Have not made the trek up that way yet. Everyone keeps telling me to check it out ! Maybe next season if not this one!

Granite Peak is 4 hours to the East if you don't mind a drive.

Well worth it and the best that Wisconsin has.

Depends where you are in the cities, about an hour from most places I would guess.
