We did the Hampton Inn. the hot breakfast and hot tub were worth the extra few bucks. Plus I needed a bigger room 2 teenage boys and me. Was still affordable.
I'm looking at heading up with my kids Feb 1st-3rd

I went on GP's website and looked at their lodging packages but they were higher than just going on the hotel's website and making reservations. Not exactly sure what's up with that. The Day's Inn 3 minutes away was about $75 a night with tax, Super 8 was about $85.

That is surprising considering GP works closely with all of the hotels in the area. They really depend on the people that GP brings in, especially with no snowmobile trails being open here.

I'll talk to the misses about that.

As far as a hotel goes, depends on how close you want to be to the hill. I definitely recommend Hampton as they have a great heated pool for relaxing. They are also a 5 minute drive from GP.

And Day's Inn is pretty sketch.

Here it goes...

GP doesn't make a dime off of the hotels, but sometimes if you go through a 3rd party site you might find a better deal. Your best bet is to -

Book your hotel on the hotel website.

Grab your lift tickets off the GP site (you save $ by doing that vs going directly to the ticket window and purchasing)

AFAIK the only exception to this rule is if you are participating in one of their "Family Fest" weekends and are bringing a family of 4.

If I remember correctly that was the case last time I was there 2 years ago. We stayed at the super 8 and was cheaper to get the room directly off the super 8 website. We then ordered a 2 day pass online.
