What budget. I got you all of your money back for the bag jump

Had a great time. Saturday was an absolute blast and the glades really kicked my ass.

I think I'm going to make a subliminal .mp3 with the advice you gave me lol.

I have some footage to break down and get to ya, but have all 3 kids hitting the jump x 3. I have some from Saturday to go through and I have a 45 minute clip of footage from Sunday where I forgot I had the Contour on :eusa_clap:

Really glad to see a few folks from here. Hurricane was so far above my skill level, but fun to watch him hit those icy chutes with no problems.

Unfortunately your jump and glade footage looks like crap. I needed to be A LOT closer when filming. I'll chalk it up to having a brand new camera and never actually doing chase cam work before. I'm still piecing together a few parts and I'll post them to your page when I finish.

I guess you will just have to come back for a day so I can film some more for practice.

Hey guys we made it back last night. The rain was a real bummer on Sunday, we ended up sleeping in and then drove down to Devilshead for the 4pm to 9pm session, Brian had a $10 off so it worked out good and only spent $24 instead of $60+ at GP to ride the rain. It only rained for about 20 or 30 minutes too hard to ride everything else was a random sprinkle or 2, we were literally the only people there by 7pm and the snow was great.
We ended up staying on the left side of GP when you guys left, did you ever make it back over there? Boy Brian and I were both beat sunday morning, haven't ridden woods like that all day in a long time but it was worth it. The riding Monday at DH was ok but alot of the soft stuff from sunday night turned pretty damn icy on monday. We ended up riding until almost 2pm and then headed home.

Hurricane: by the time I meet the kids, nearly a full day riding the glades on both sides of the resort. Everyone was spent, and I think we called it a great day of riding and hit the hot tub.

Derp: it's all good and once my car is fixed I'm trying to do another trip. It would be just the day and we are trying for the bag jump in march. Did you get the footage of my baby park jump. Maybe you can just send that would like to see my form if possibe

Understand that. We left at close and headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner then to bed. Felt like I had my butt kicked when I woke up Sunday morning.

Yeah I got it buddy, but you won't be able to critique your form with it.

Slammed with hours at the hill this week, but will get it to you asap.

Next bag jump is 8-10 of March. Let me know if you think the 9th is a possibility (would seem like the best day for you) and I'll put in for the day off.

Most places in Wisconsin are closed for the season, but Granite Peak will be open Saturday, April 13th, for one last day. Hours are 9-9.

Spring lift ticket prices as follows:
9am-9pm $53+tax
9am-4pm $45+tax
Noon-4pm $40+tax
4pm-9pm $17+tax

Hill will be 100% open, including all 4 terrain parks. Glades are open, but at your own risk. Some spots are pretty sketchy in there.

If you happen to be heading here, PM me. I'll be there for first and last chair.

I don't think they are,.....but I got to thinkin' I would rather go sunday actually cuz it's gonna be hella cold sat nite, plus I like ridin' during the
day better,....but yea, that lift price kills ya......I'm gonna call em tomorrow and make sure of the price for sun.

I hope maybe you'll go in spite of the price...YOLO!....:D

Alright here we go...

Open 9-9 on Saturday, but forecast is calling for cold ass temps.
Open 9-4 on Sunday with much more seasonable temperatures.

Saturday 4pm-CL is $18+tax for a lift ticket. Pretty good deal.
Sunday from 9-4 is $54+tax for a lift ticket. I don't make the prices!

We got a good inch+ of snow last night and another couple on the way tonight.

We were able to make snow on Monday night and plan on making snow every chance we get. If you ride on Saturday don't be surprised to see the guns blowing all over. Good chance of us making a good amount tonight, Friday, and Saturday.

I can't give you a exact number of runs we have open as it just depends on the weather. You can check here, but it is not always 100% up to date.

Granite Peak Lift Status

Definitely more than last weekend and I'm pretty sure we will have a few jumps and rails set up for the park people. If you want you can PM me and I'll give you my cell#. If you hit me up on Saturday night (taking for granted you want to ride on Sunday) I can give you a lift status directly from the hill as I work 3:30-CL there on Saturday night.

I will hopefully be riding all day on Sunday.

thanx so much for the info.....
man,...that $54 price tag for pre season is brutal.....
I'd love to go, but without the whole hill open, it's starting to make sense to wait and get more bang for my buck when everything is open.

I thought their pre season prices were quite a bit lower,...but no such luck.
I need to get out there on one of their mid week specials....
nice to know you work/ride there though!!:)

Staff here have been killing it. I can't remember ever seeing this much snow on the mountain for Thanksgiving. Especially considering we've only seen maybe 3 inches of snow this season so far.

17 runs open (basically the entire middle of the mountain) and plenty of features for the park rats.

New this year they also have their "4 for 40" deal. Bring 3 of your friends and ride on Friday night from 4pm-9pm for only $10+tax per person.

Mon, Wed, and Saturday nights from 4-9pm are $18+tax per person.
Tuesday and Thursday are 2 for the price of 1.

18+ runs open.

Snowmaking in the West right now. This weather is excellent for our snowcanes which pump out a shit ton of snow. I wouldn't be surprised if we had more runs open then currently shown tonight, Saturday, or Sunday.

Plenty of rails, jibs, jumps, and features to keep you busy for a weekend on Sugar Maple and Aspen. Local favorites so far seem to be the flat/down/kink/flat/down rail and the flat/down/flat/down/flat/down rail.

Comet (6 pack highspeed) is open. Blitzen (3 person lift) is running to the top of the hill as well.

Groomed and hardpacked as fuck. Temps are brutal, but on the plus side there will be no lift lines :)

I'm working Friday and Saturday night (3-CL). If you have any questions just ask one the lifties for supervisor Mike.

Got up Saturday morning and it was -10 in Wausau.......

My primary reason for being in town wasn't to snowboard (so I didn't have a ton of time) but I figured what the heck, a bad day on the hill is better than a good day doing other stuff. That turned out to be not so true. I started out on Birch Run, then Exhibition, and finished on Sundance. By the end of the third run my face was almost frozen and I bailed. As Derp mentioned it's hard packed and icy as hell. On the plus side, the new T.Rice performed well and the Magnetraction was put to good use. :)

I look forward to returning when conditions are better. For those in the Milwaukee area it's well worth the trip.

Alpine's snow was in great shape today. I didn't make it into the park as I was riding with my daughter and she's a newbie. Still conditions were great!

PalmerFreak getting an outing to GP for end of Jan if your interested.

All major chairlifts will be running. Cupid, Blitzen, Comet, and Dasher.

Dasher and the far West runs close at 4. Best place to ride in the mornings.

Rest of the hill stays open until 9pm.

I'd estimate 90% of the runs will be groomed and ready to ride.

3 terrain parks will be available, possibly 4.

Glades are rather sketch and at your own risk. Just can't get snow guns/sticks in there to cover them properly.

Me and my kids were there a little over a month ago. They had a real fun beginner park. If it's still up, I'm sure it is, you'll have a blast in there.
Take some of the tree runs as well !! They are a blast to ride in.
Derp will give you an accurate and good game plan to follow.
