Anybody know anything about Sundown?

I am a noob and looking to head that way on Friday. I started at Chestnut for my first time (ever) this year and went to Cascade last time. I am not ready for tough runs yet, but Sundown appears to have a few more greens than Chestnut.

Its raining where I am but I am thinking by tomorrow, everything should be fine as temps are supposed to drop this PM.

I think sundown is the best Iowa has to offer, unfortunately, but I still have fun there. It can be real icy and prob will be after this rain and cold temps coming.

Well I was there last night for the Friday night lift special ($28 4-12). I have to say I was kind of disappointed in the width of the runs. There were multiple school trips and the runs were jammed up. By the end of the night all the kiddies went home and it was a much more enjoyable time down the hill. We went because it was my third time out and there were a few more green runs that others in the area. Once I got out there, I realized that it really was just a single main run and a few off shoots you could get to. I did like that the tougher hills came together at the end for a huge area, but I only hit the blues 3-4 times last night. I think I will like this place more as I progress. It was definitely a longer ride than Chestnut which is about half hour closer to me but the runs are just so short.

O and the snow was junk last night - super grainy. I am not sure what the proper slang for it was but my first run down between the traffic and getting used to little ice balls for snow, it was not fun.
