As one who has toured around abit, I have heard of the "conspiracy" theories. Thing is, the dead were a very busy band, but private. I really dont think any of them would feel comfortable in working with the CIA at all. It was bad enough every place they went so did the eyes of the law...

The true committment the dead had was music. The LSD, pills etc...believe it or not, the people in the arena were alot more into that then the dead themselves. sure they did it, but not to the point of any conspiracy...I never bought the tim leary thing either.
