Hip Hop Fans Unite
What gets you crunked while shredding? I'm a big fan of the Old School when it comes to shredding tunes...I'm talking RUN DMC (Tricky has got to be one of my favorite shred tunes, and not just because of the SSX video game series :P), Beastie Boys, etc. While it would actually be unfair to just say I listen to rap/hip-hop (huge Smashing Pumpkins and AC/DC fan), no one really talks about this kind of music when it comes to shredding.

As far as conscious hip hop goes, what about Dead Prez? They've got a good consistent message... doesn't get me really amped up on the slopes, besides the track "hell yeah", but it's definitely socially conscious and gets the gears grinding.

I'm all about some Dilated People, J5, Swollen Memebers, De La Soul, Some
Mos Def(Check out "Wylin Out" the RJD2 Remix) there are a bunch of others but i can't think of all the names. But mostly I listen to Hip hop in the park, not so much when just free riding.

I consider myself a metal head but you can never go wrong with some Public Enemy.
