hmm...i'd have to disagree. i do agree they put on a hella good high energy show that the whole place gets into, but there's many other bands out there that raise the roof even higher. string cheese incident being one of them. they always (used to) go all out with crowd participation, lil freak circus parades, lasers & lights...the whole nine.

but string cheese is a completely different genre of music, so i guess it's not fair to compare.

311 is a good show live and so is the cheese. Ive seen both and there both a hell of a live show but I think im gonna have to give my vote to Moe. And yes us hippies know how to get down.

I sure cant argue with that. I saw an amazing ridiculously long show from him at Bonnaroo a few years ago. Definately one to remember.

Yeah I went to a Claypool show in Denver -I think- 4 or 5 years ago and the show outlasted the mushrooms lol. (gotta add, they were some GOOD GT's too, I knew the guy that grew them really well lol).

Claypool likes to play shows on acid. I've seen probably 6 Primus shows.

The cheese is the suck anymore. I saw them in 01 and became a fan, but now I don't really care for them. Too fn cheesy for me. Now, if you wanna get down and dirty, PANIC is the way to go. That's my band. I have 20 Panic shows under my belt. Still, 311 keeps the energy high the whole show, and they pump out 20-23 songs a night. Jambands by their nature have highs and lows. Moe is freaking sick too. I love live, good music.

Beastie Boys <---probably the one I want to see the most, their live shows are insane, so Ive heard.

i saw the b-boys & the roots together like 10 years ago. haven't seen the boys since though. they definitely put on a good show.

and about primus & acid...

i saw them at the first vegoose & was spun outta my mind and for the first time ever primus' music made sense to me....it makes NO sense but to be senseless. and it was a great show, probably one of my favorites from that fest.

cheese's late night iced the cake for me though.

I've been to two Roots shows, and I can attest to their awesomeness.. the creativity is amazing, and it gets to a point where you think Black thought is just showing off..lol..
