One of my favorite things in a song is when a good solo is played that evokes an emotional feeling in me.

Would love to hear what are your favorite solos in a song so post them up.

For bass, pick any number of Vic Wooten or Les Claypool solos.

Some of my favourite guitar stuff that I find appeases my ears:

Slash first lead break on 'Knockin on Heavens Door', also his stuff on 'Estranged',
Eddie Van Halen 'Eruption'
Gary Moore 'Still Got The Blues'
Jeff Healey 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'
Zack Wylde on 'Mumma Im Coming Home'

numerous tracks by Jimi Hendrix. on a lot of his tracks the guitar is so dominant the whole thing sounds like a guitar solo...
