Smooth music?
Overdid it a bit with the post hardcore and huge dubstep beats, and am looking for like chill music with no huge bass or anything. I remember Let Go by Frou Frou in the first DC mountain lab is a really good song to ride to. Maybe music like that? Or good soft reggae. Or any music you'd consider chill

I listen to a lot of stuff kinda like that. At least in terms of mellow. I'll spill a few in hopes you haven't heard of them. They're all pretty common in my opinion, but really nice chill riding music.
Andrew Bird Band of Horses The Black Keys Black Mountain Imogen Heap (same chick that's in Frou Frou with another girl) Ghostland Observatory Kaiser Chiefs Mackintosh Braun (Super synthed out vocals...i REALLY love their new album "Where we are") MGMT Phoenix (Their newest album is one of the greatest releases of any artist ever IMO) Slightly Stoopid (mellow chill vibes stuff) Stereophonics - (check out the song "Maybe Tomorrow") 30 Seconds to Mars (probably the most charged stuff out of the group. I really like their first album.) Hope I helped. All solid tunes. Got it all in my boarding mix along with 30 or so other groups. Best of each artist and I can hit random and ALWAYS get something groovy. |
Love slightly stoopid! Got a bunch of their stuff. MGMT and Imogen Heap i each have a few songs of. Not on my comp I'll be sure to check them out when i get home. Thanks!

Bonobo and Ulrich Schnauss are great upbeat but chilled out electronica.
Can't go wrong with the king, Bob Marley for softer reggae. |
For softer stuff right now I'm liking broken bells, crash kings (only a few songs, its too slow for me), tragically hip is really smooth classic rock that i'm loving now. Also, Zeigeist is really good electronic music (not really sure about the genre, but listen to the song Cuffs, you'll love it).

slightly stoopid, lotus, phish, the new deal. anything like that

go for some red hot chili peppers and maybe some hendrix. stomping landings seem so much more fun while "all along the watchtower" is playing.
