Smile Dubstep.

Is it me or anyone else noticing that dubstep is hitting more and more snowsport footage. Nero Ghosts and Stuff remix in art of flight for instance.

Anyone enjoy it? I do personally. Check out this little piece right here same song as in Art of Flight

dubstep has become OUT OF CONTROL. Original dubstep was and is not waaaa womp womp waaaaaa womp waaaa womp!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed it a few years ago, but not as much any more. There is dubstep and then there is brostep.

brostep = datsik, doctor p, flux pavilion etc.

dubstep = Benga, Skream, kode9 ,loefah etc.

the fact that i have to explain this makes me hate it even more. it's okay once in a while. but the fact that it's all frat boys listen to and become college music played all over campus is not helping it's cause...

I don't like any form of dubstep really... I guess I would if I had robot ears.

That is exactly not what dubstep is about.

Here is a good comparison I found online

Quote:
Brostep: Brostep has exploded in popularity in the past couple years with a focus on wobble bass (ie: wub, wub, wub....), excessive midrange bass, and often an increasing emphasis on dirty and robotic sounding tracks. This is a derogatory name used by some because they think brostep has tainted or even killed the dubstep genre. Many think it's no longer about the culture and musical experience, but outdoing other producers with dirty tracks.
Quote:
Dubstep: Dubstep evolved out of Jamaican dub and UK 2-step garage, characterized by sub-bass (below 90Hz) and the 2-step kick-kick-snare pattern in each successive measure. Early producers predominantly created the music to be played on huge sound systems because the sub-bass was meant to be experienced and not just listened to. It was essentially as much a culture as it was music.
Rusko had this to say (surprisingly...) I also find the background track very ironic...heh

Good god why do I care so much...

Thats what that stuff is? I'm actually really happy now cuz I can find some more of it & start listening to it. Probably my favorite part of tAoF was the music, Dubstep ftw!.. or brostep. Whatever it is, its amazing.

But I do like your video, dubstep notwithstanding. Nice work! If only they would put some fucking mountains in my 'hood maybe one day I could make a video like that!
