I find these threads very humorous. People from around the nation have a completely different view on rap based on their location. Most people outside of the South think southern rap is terrible. They don't understand the culture and the way you listen to it. It is all about the deep bass down south. You feel the music instead of listen to it. I am partial to it since that is what I grew up listening to it. West coast and east coast rap is terrible in my mind but we all have our own opinions.

I don't find any of the genres as a whole to be great or terrible. They all have some good stuff. I grew up listening to dirty south rap and old school Outkast is still as good as it gets. T.I. is very good. So was Ludacris when he forat got started. The Nappy Roots are awesome.

However, the bullshit that southern rap largely became with clowns like Juvenile, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne... holy fuck, that shit is terrible.
