who plays an instrument?

which one do you play, how long and what type of music?

i've played guitar for about 4 years. love to just jam, but play lots of classic stuff like zeppelin, pink floyd, neil young, etc.

i also have some side instruments like my harmonica, my roomate's bass, and my other roomate's keyboard

Guitar here and there since 2002, still not so hot with it, but I go ahead and make up stuff anyway. Use computer programs to make loops to go with the songs, and some kinda noise comes out when I open my mouth. Been throwing some of my songs up on myspace.com/1bushgirl ... I hope that's not considered spam... I don't want your money.

Drums. I've been playing for 18 years, but have less time to play now with a young kid at home. I almost considered selling off pieces of my kit or some of my random hand percussion for snowboard money, but thought better of it. I can honestly say I play "a little of everything". I've gigged with bands ranging from heavy rock (ala Sevendust) to funk/jazz, punk to tribal/world beat to hip-hop. Of course, with no time to practice anymore my chops are shot.

I've been drumming for 7 years now, whenim practising, its to heavy doble bass shit. I have a hardcore/alternative three-piece band, so i can be really creative with the moves i pull on the kit
