Honestly though, instead of all the dubstep hate, why not just talk about the D&B you like? I had a couple CDs (do you know what those are?!? lol) that were D&B compilations. Some pretty good stuff on them. I'll have to dig them up and post some stuff here...For the most part I find D&B too fast. My favorite electronic music is really hard to find, sort of a downbeat reggae with heavy bass. Similar to Dub (not Dubstep) but more modern. Like downbeat jungle i guess. I also really like DJ Shadow but that's a whole other topic completely.

- Some goodies
There's still plenty of fantastic dubstep out there; there's also a ton of garbage too because it's so popular. I find 1 good dubstep track for 20 shitty ones.

Fixed the above for you ^
1. Take a Youtube link like Pretty Lights - Hot Like Sauce - YouTube 2. See the = sign? Highlight what's after it: FJo-J9rphYk 3. Now wrap that in Youtube tags

fucking badman tune, excellent taste sir!
i've been a longtime fan of dnb (late 90's), used to dj quite a bit in Australia and the UK but haven't really been into it for the last 5 years or so. seems like the genre has just gotten stale and ran out of fresh ideas. for me, good drum'n'bass is exemplified by the manipulation of breakbeats and usage of ideas from other forms of music rather than reliance on loudness and 'sick drops'. my favourite shit mostly came out of the full cycle/dope dragon crew from Bristol (Roni Size, Krust, Die etc) as well as Goldie's Metalheadz label and the True Playaz jump up stuff. i could bang on about dnb/jungle for ages but tunes like this is what I'm talking about: this is one of my favorite things to bomb down a hill to, dj zinc's dnb classics megamix. over 70 tunes crammed into 5 minutes!!!!
