Really been into this kinda stuff:

Butch Clancy - The Turn Up - YouTube

HeRobust - Future Funk (Free Download in Description) - YouTube

Bro Safari - That A$$ - YouTube

EDIT: legit skipped over that alt-rock part :/ What bands are you into and ill throw up some better recommendations. alt-rock is a big genre nowadays

Respectfully, what the hell is "alternative rock" these days? When I hear that term, it brings to mind an overused term in the 90s which described a genre that started out great, but morphed into soulless, corporate schlock.

Main stream boy band: One Direction - Kiss You
Fast paced, catchy song.

EDM: Skrillex or Porter Robinson - Language

Rock bands: Green Day, Muse, POD

Not sure how much you would like this, but if you ever go to the top of the mountain, listen to "what if this storm ends" by Snow Patrol.

Feels Epic.

If your into harder radio friendly music check out some older nickelback, crossfade(gotta love cold), three days grace, alien ant farm, disturbed and other tony hawk pro skater esque band.

On the more "better" music side, a perfect circle and tool are always good, one of my favorite "alt rock" indieish bands us envy on the coast(Lucy grey and low country are solid albums), a bad called bad rabbits, is a baller new "new crack swing" group outa Boston. Rx bandits for expierimental and the recieving end of sirens for just a good ride/listen album(specifically the album broadcasting a prison break with casey, the original singer)Glassjaw and head automatica if your into it, enter shikari and rise against for "let's go" rock music. For more on the heavier side but not quite deathy, it prevails, killswitch engage, select devil wears Prada.

That can start you off I guess. Alt Rick is a big genre
