Music you listen to on the MTN

What kind of music gets you stoked or amped up and ready to tear the mountain up?

For me, I like mellow and smooth rock songs, old school hip hop songs, and a few modern day songs like a few tracks from Modest Mouse... primarily their song "Dashboard". I dont know what it is about it, but I like it. haha.

Also, if you have ever seen the dvd "THAT", I like every song on that soundtrack.

Ill have to check out the soundtracks from those movies. I forgot to list off some Ambient music, too. Some of it gets you in the mood to just strap up and flow all day.

That was a pretty good snowboard film. My brother has that one.

I don't have an audio helmet so I've never really listened to music while riding but when I do get my helmet I'm gonna listen to rap [my brother never was a fan of rap and then he listened to it snowboarding and loved it ever since]. Rap gives you a good beat to snowboard too. I also heard that electronica can give a good beat to so I'm gonna try that.

rjd2 manages a few tracks on any mix i take to the mountain, but you have to have songs when you are laid back and plenty for when you want to turn it up a notch.

I agree to whoever mentioned Alice in Radioland. I love that group when it comes to snowboarding, particularly "Radiosong", probably because of Isenseven. I tend to listen to a lot of snowboard-movie music songs as well. Usually electronica, though I do have the occasional rock/punk song in there. As well as mellow music .. hell, I guess it just varies.

Some of the groups that're on my "playlist" are Alice in Videoland, Metric, The Faint, Shiny Toy Guns, Tsunami Bomb, Yeah-Yeah-Yeahs, Peaches, etc. Lots of girl bands, actually. Go figure.

I LOVE listening to classical...then ending the song and switching over to something with a different beat. I think the reason I do that is because classical forces me to relax, and focus, then the different beats after that just get me going.

Depends on what kind of terrain im riding. The bigger it gets the heavier the metal. If its a jib day its more classic rock and hip hop.
