do you listen to music while you board? - Snowboarding Forum

is it distracting? or do you find it helps you to concentrate on the hill?

i LOVE listening to music when im snowboarding.

I wouldn't find it distracting so much as annoying having the little thing in my ear combined with all the sudden movements.

i guess if you are on a more advanced hill..you wouldnt any distractions.

but i really suggest you do it..if you're on the easy hill....
passing the kids trying to learn. lol

Well i don't and would never want to try it, because i usually fall, AND i don't have a hard case for my iPod, so it'll break.

yeah i understand

also..if its really cold it sometimes damages hi-tech stuff......
my old ipod can tell you.. only he's dead.

I can't stand the earbuds in my ears, especially with my helmet... I wish I could listen to my iPod while boarding though, music helps me focus.

used to at first, but now I'm not such a fan of the iPod mini while riding... I'm an ex-skateboarder so alot of the 'feel' is also by listening to the sounds underneath you... the more I can hear, the better idea I have of how my board is reacting to the conditions of the snow.

the only problem i have with it is the distraction of the earphones falling out. i love listening to indie music and sometimes some good hardcore, but when im playing the harder stuff it tends to **** with my senses a little. easy stuff is always relaxing and it makes me do stuff i wouldnt usually do. so its always good.
