Default Anyone like country music?

I like to listen to some good ol' country music when I board. I just picked up Toby Keith's new album, That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy, and I listened to it all day yesterday. I really like that single that's all over the radio... Anyone else a country music fan?

Geeeez,

I live in Alberta and I hate country. Ironically ALOT of people here hate country.

Many of the songs are the exact same in story, sound the same, and dont pose any interest in my life.

.... ridin in mah pickup truck got stuck in a ditch...
"Western" accent is annoying as fuck too. Sorry to bash the thread but its my opinion.

I don't personally like new country stuff. Brad Paisley is so popular right now and I have no idea why. Carrie Underwood is only famous because people want to see her titties. Toby Keith is to country music what Kanye West is to...country music.

I'll listen to Johnny Cash or Alan Jackson something like that without complaining (I don't listen to music while I board though), but I don't care for new stuff.

When i say country im talking about the generally new stuff. There are great exceptions such as Johnny Cash, The Eagles, and Blue Rodeo

I almost hesitate to call Cash country music. He was so prolific you should just call him music.

i agree. toby keith is about as country as madonna. and for the most part, most of the recent country is crap. if you want to hear some good country check out the Musicfest in Steamboat the first week of january. good music and lots of southern women that will make these snoody colorado "women" look stupid. The MusicFest at Steamboat, Colorado

and yes, Cash is the fuckin' shit.

being a euroweenie.... country music is kind of a fictional thing. outside of Dolly Parton and Shania Twaine, does it really exist?

but when in fernie, on the music tv station, there was a song about some cowboy kind of person, who got his truck stuck in some mud... so they got another truck to tow it... but that too got stuck. so they got another truck, which also got stuck and so on and so forth, until they had about a dozen stuck trucks.

i think it concluded with them all drinking beers and having a laugh about it.

who knew cowboys were real? anyways, if anybody knows who did that song, then please tell me, coz that choon was bloody hilarious! we would sing it as we cruised the hill!
