NS Swift 152
Tried out the 2017 NS Swift 152 at Brian Head Utah and Mammoth, CA.
I've always ridden centered twin boards so it took me a couple of runs to get use to the sweet spot on the board.
At Brian Head, there really wasn't much snow to really ride in pow so it was just mostly hard pack. This isn't really where the swift shines and I'd rather bring another board.
At Mammoth however... ho-leeeee shit. Went up a week after their 10 foot dump, during a 4ft dump and just wow. I always have fun when I'm riding pow but damn, this board took it to a whole new level. This board is agile even in that level of pow. I felt like I was riding a 149. This board was so fun to just ride, carve, slash in all that soft fluffy snow.
My only complaint, which I don't have much to compare this against, is that it didn't float as much as I would have hoped. The board is definitely not unsinkable. I would relate it like this: the board made riding in 10-14ft of snow feel like I was riding an all mtn board in 2-3 feet of snow. This is my first board that would be considered a powder board so I don't know how it stacks up against other powder boards out there but I would recommend this board if you're looking for a board specific for powder.
