I get a few days out west each winter but most of my riding is in Michigan and I have a hard time justifying a $600 purchase to ride midwestern "mountains"...

Yeah I live in Milwaukee, and there isn't much down here, but up north and in the U.P. rocks. I plan on a trip to Breck in January and Bohemia sometime this winter, so I'll be shredding it up.

I got my proto CT early, unfortunately there is no snow left here to ride it. I will have to wait till our mid-summer trip to Chile

That might have been one of those get it early deals. Or a shop has them in early and charge a premium for those that want it now.
