I get a few days out west each winter but most of my riding is in Michigan and I have a hard time justifying a $600 purchase to ride midwestern "mountains"...

Yeah I live in Milwaukee, and there isn't much down here, but up north and in the U.P. rocks. I plan on a trip to Breck in January and Bohemia sometime this winter, so I'll be shredding it up.

Word. I've talked to a few people who bought one back in February/March and they all told me they paid $590 for it.

$540 is still a lot of money but way less sticker shock than $600 that's for sure.

That might have been one of those get it early deals. Or a shop has them in early and charge a premium for those that want it now.
