Quit pimping it Leo. I almost sold my board last week unridden to grab one of these. I'm such a gear whore. I get complacent when I have nothing to buy.

Short list for this/next year. Westmark, Proto, TRS Slim, Heritage. I wish I could try them all. There are more, those are the top.

lol trying to sell my board as well.. unused.... but i already ordered the proto before they run out...

main question is... is there a big difference between the black and white base ? alot of people here seem to prefer the black for some reason

Everyone really does have a NS around here lol! Wow, I will definetly be looking at them for my next set up. Considering i think i am too big for my 154 uninc now a days.

Different strokes, for different folks. I went with Black as it is easier to see when the base is drying out. Some like White so they can see the Carbon stringers, which can also be seen on the Black one.

Trust me, I know. NS has been very hyped on these forums over the past couple of years. I was super curious about them too. Luckily I got this opportunity and needless to say, I'm a bonafide fan. I was as unbiased as could be testing their boards as I am a board tester by hobby and part of my profession as well.

I like the white for two reasons:

1) I can see the stringers

2) I can really see how dirty it is. This makes me clean the base thoroughly. I can tell when a base is dry by running my hand on it anyway. Besides, I wax regularly so that's pretty much a non-issue.

Hey guys

I am from Portugal and i am looking for a snowboard

I am 1.86m and 90kg and wear size 10.5 boots

My setup is:

Bataleon The jam 161
Cartel restricted and malavita
burton ION

I use the bataleon as my all board and i love it

But i was trying to go down a bit for a fun board that still could do everything

i came across the neversummer brand

And i am torn in PROTO Vs SL for 2012.... what do you think guys?

For my style of riding (not agressive most of time , grooms, powder , some small jumps and some speed ) will the PROTO be enough or the SL be better?

And size...??

I would like to go about 159-160 and i hear the PROTO 157 has more efective edge than a 161 burton custom...

Does this mean i could go with a 157 PROTO or 158 SL ou better to up for 160 PROTO or 161 SL as a all do board?

without using a calculator I"m pretty sure that I'm 1.86m and 90kg (or very close to it). You will be fine on the 157 proto for all-around riding. The 157 is really more like a 159 because of the blunted shape. That's your ticket right there.
