Just got home to find the raptor sitting on front porch. My goodness...I'm so excited about taking this for a spin! Going to have to wait for my next trip in 2 weeks. Thinking of getting new binders for for the new black stallion.

What bindings did you guys pair with the raptor? Any recommendations?

Rome arsenals. Lot of people run burton diodes but they are expensive.

mine hopefully comes in tomorrow. i'll be testing it in a couple of weeks either in Blue Mtn (PA) or in Stratton (VT).

as for bindings, my biased opninion would be either the Union Contact Pros (i'm using my blk/red 2012s) OR the Union Charger since it's meant more for freeriding.. but do more research to meet your needs..

I like it!

I've got a bunch more videos and will be hitting Northstar this weekend and will hopefully take some more. Maybe I'll get around to editing them one day so they're watchable :P Problem is they're all helmet cams and I think that angle sucks. Thinking about getting a pole mount.

In response to the binding question, I'm liking the 2013 cartels on mine but I'm wondering if they're a little bit of a weak link in terms of stiffness because I'm in Driver Xs. Not that I have any complaints whatsoever, I just don't have a lot of experience with a lot of different gear and know the diodes are stiffer.

One of my buddies has 13' Cartels on his Summit, they like they would be a bit soft for the Raptor.

Thanks Dan. Really looking forward to progressing on this board. I just wish the season wasn't ending soon... at least here in PA. Could definitely use more days on it, but at least I get 3 days with it in Stowe, VT.

To be honest, if I wasn't a bit of a fitness freak and finished Insanity right before the season started, I would have probably had a lot harder time going down on this board than I do now. Can't wait to stop using leg strength to compensate for lack of ability. Haha

I just recently bought the raptor 156, upgrading from a turbo dream, and it will be coming soon Now im just worried that my boots and bindings are going to be too soft for it. I have burton cartels with Nike zoom force 1. Do you think I would be okay with this set up? Any suggestions?

Probably initially. Depending on your riding you might elect to go stiffer.
