Agreed! I've not been giddy about a board in a loooonnng time. I literally found myself just laughing while riding down the mountain... the difference was that huge compared to my previous Burton. As others have said - I feel I'm fairly effortlessly riding how I've been truly wanting to ride for the last 15 years.

I called up my local board shop, Salty Peaks here in SLC and had them measure the 165X at the inserts... you were damn close, danm! The width at the inserts was 27.94cm. Only.06 cm off! I got a more accurate measurement of my foot and it is 28cm even. Again... this puts me right on the border. Seems like my rear foot on the 165X at 0' would be a perfect fit but my forward foot at 18* would come up a tad short. At any rate they said I can come and demo any of their boards for $25 for a day and test it for myself which I'm going to do and see what feels better. That solves that!

The size chart on Evo is junk - it is not from NS, just something the Evo sales guys drew up.
The guy should be on the 156 for sure, unless he is still gaining weight and/or planning on riding a lot of powder.

You are right about in between either size i think. If you are still growing or a really aggressive rider then go 159. Otherwise 156.

I wear an 11 boot and weigh in at 260. Still losing but slowly. I ride a 165x. No problem with turning. Takes a bit of effort but that is kind of fun for me. Lookin good back I'd probably have e gotten a normal width 169. But the wider board does float really well. Guess it depends on your boot size. I didn't go back thru the thread to see.

Regarding the width issue... I wear size 11.5!

I had a 165X titan and a 161 titan. The 161 was much better IMO. Faster edge to edge and as stable at speed YET easier to turn quick in tight spots and better overall all-mountain board for me!

Since then, the MAX WW board I buy is 260. My preference is 258/259 and I've been on a 256 board. But 258/259 seem to give me better response & control over the board on quick turns and edge to edge handling, especially at high speed!

Now back to review... how does it hold on ICE?!
