Also came across this here. Looks like intense has moved out of Taiwan and are building their frames in house again, which has led to the increased quality in the past 2-3 production years. Good news for them.

It looks like the Metric is the same as the Vengeance just with 10mm more travel. Same internals, same lowers, and same stantion thickness. The only difference I can tell is the Metric has added carbon protectors and an external pressure release valve...that I have no idea how to use.
I haven't come accross a bad thing said about the Vengeance. I'm still a little weary of an air fork on a FR/DH bike though. But it seems like a lot of companies are building high quality air forks lately.

|Mysticfalcon||I run the x-fusion vengeance and while they say it is 170mm travel It measures out as 178 on mine for bottom out. Ive been very happy with the fork. Im curious just how much different the new fork is going to be.|

I'm a little worried about running the Vector Air myself. But for the price it was worth trying it out. From what I've read about it, it's considered 'freeride' although I can't imagine it could hold up to the abuse of daily hucking. But I have friends who run a DB Air and they swear by it. From what I understand the Vector is supposed to be as good. I guess I'll find out.
Yeah Triple8sol, fortunately I don't ride anywhere where I have to pedal up so I'm able to just cut the post down and forget about it. The only time I'm really ever on my seat is when I'm waiting in the lift line. You're right about the Marz. I blew it up earlier this year and had it rebuilt. It's been good so far, but it's getting harsh and I'm sure due for another blow out I'm sure. I guess I wasn't really ready for an upgrade. I've been looking at some dual crowns for awhile but didn't want to purchase anything without running a single crown on it first. I've been looking at the Totem coil and Van but it looks like X Fusion is coming out with a 180mm air that's supposed to be on par with boxxer WC quality in a single crown. Not really sure what direction I want to go yet so I'll just run the Marz until I can't stand it anymore. I hear their new 380 is getting good reviews though.

|Triple8Sol||That bike looks decent except for the interrupted seat tube. Not that I adjust the saddle height that often on my DH/FR rigs, but I do occasionally so it sucks to not have leg extension when you're trying to ride up a fire road. Stick with the RC4 took I'm surprised you wanted to keep the Marz. I Had a 66 RCV years ago and hated that thing...such garbage. Had to rebuild it 2-3x that season and it still leaked and had too much strict ion. Later went to a Totem 2-Step and the Totem coil which were both 100x better. Can't see myself buying another Marz product for a long time.|

|mojo maestro||Low, slack and a single pivot.......what's not to like? Really like the simplicity of the single pivot. Adjustable chainstays and BB height.......more +'s. Right around 2 grand for an American made frame with an RC4 sounds awesome. I definitely wouldn't run an air shock........but I'm fat. Minions front and rear......|
