Chiffonade So how about the Recon? Or should I spend a bit more?

Oh, and I looked at the Flow M9's which are like $180 at Dog Funk, while the Targa's and 390's are liek $220-240.

fuzzysnowboard No offense, but I think you'd probably out grow the brigade if your'e doing blacks.

markee Don't buy Cinches, they're all unnecessarily heavy. And from what I've read on these forums, the Rome Arsenals eat you if you're not ready for them (they are Rome's stiffest binders and very unforgiving). They are definityely not a beginner binding.

I'd say yes, look into Targas and 390s. I can't comment on Flows as I've never tried them.

I can't directly comment on the boards as I've never ridden them, but the Brigade and Anagram are part of K2's low end line. Once you're in black/park territory, you'll probably be out-riding those boards.

Want to Buy My Own Gear for the Next Season

I just started snowboarding, and I immediately fell in love. But anyway, I want to buy my own gear next season and I'd like to have some outside opinions. I've done my research so I have a couple of choices, but I really have no idea what whats good or not, other than what I've read here over the past couple of weeks.

Age - 16
Height - 6'6/2.03 meters
Weight - 260 lbs/118 kg (I'm working on this, dieting and working out. Should be a lot less by the time summer rolls around.)
Boot Size - 14
Style - As of now just groomed greens, but I'm moving onto blues, and I want to eventually do park/blacks. I'm guessing an all-mountain board would be good.
Location - Northeast. I'm like a 1 hour 45 minute drive from Mountain Creek, and I've got all the NY mountains only a couple hours away, and the occasional Vermont/Pennsylvania trip.
Budget - For everything around $500, or is that too much for a beginner/novice since this will be for my second season.

The rental I have is a Lamar Mission 163 Wide, which feels good to me, as far as I can tell, and I have LTD LT30 bindings. I've been looking at wide boards online, and it seems the selection is kinda small in my price range, but here's what I've looked at so far:

Save on K2 Brigade Wide Snowboard 163 - Mens Snowboard Snowboarding Gear Equipment
Save on K2 Anagram Wide Snowboard 163 - Mens Snowboard Snowboarding Gear Equipment
Save on Forum Recon Wide Snowboard 161 - Mens Snowboards Snowboarding Gear Equipment

Save on K2 Cinch CTC Snowboard Bindings Black - Mens Snowboards Binding Snowboarding Gear Equipment
Save on Rome Arsenal Snowboard Bindings Black - Mens Snowboards Binding Snowboarding Gear Equipment
I've read on here, and people seem to like Flows and Rome Targa's and 390's, should I look into them?

I'd rather go and try boots on, like everyone says, but I've looked at the Burton Moto online. Will it be hard finding 14 boots? And whats a good price for a decent boot?

Sorry this is so long and if I'm asking too many questions, but I will great appreciate any help I can get.
