Kyle Mack was next up for consideration i think (him and Ryan Stassel were favorites for the discretionary spot, and Ryan got it). Not sure how well he would have done, but it would have been a great opportunity to be able to just compete at the Olympics for the exposure and experience.

S4Shredr I think he's a little bitch for dropping out last minute like that. Just because he doesn't have a great chance of winning and there's a risk of injury before halfpipe doesn't mean he shouldn't compete. I'd have more respect for him if he competed in slope, got injured and missed the half pipe comp than I will now if he wins the halfpipe comp. If he signed up for it, he should have gone through with it like a man. If he was gonna bail he should have made that decision a long time ago allowing someone else to compete in his place...

This is the key. When you combine the fact that he hasn't been competing in slopestyle recently with the fact that he just dropped out of slopestyle, I think it's fair to say that SW himself didn't much like his chances.

x2! Sage can win it.. as long as the judges aren't JUST looking for fucking triple corks and spins to win it. Sage has more style than 95% of the riders out there.
I'm for Sage.

Afaik, it's too late to replace White. Even if the rules allowed for an alternate, there just isn't enough time to fly someone else over.

ThisIsSnow by the time the new guy flew in he would have no time for practice before qualifiers.
