Also, Powderhorn is sort of a resort since it has condos at the base.

KansasNoob Wolf Creek: Awesome trees, few people, great to explore, place to be when it's snowing. No lift lines (at least on Alberta). Affordabler food and drinks. Love Pagosa Springs.

Purg: Groomers and park. Fun to hit the rollers on the groomers. I actually had a good time cruising. They have a couple groomers that are 30 deg or so for carving people... Food places on hill are $$$. Durango is nice.

I guess I consider Wolf my "home area". May not be a resort but I like it for that. My favorite place on Earth (so far). First place I made a real turn or rode on fresh snow, best feelings in the world.

They are ski areas...no lodging at the base area...and the stuff that goes along with having lodging at the base area.

CO Resorts: Keystone, Breck, Copper, Winter Park, Vail, Beaver Creek, Crested Butte, Steamboat, Aspen (all 4) and Telluride.

Ski Areas: A Basin, Loveland, Wolf Creek, Eldora, Ski Cooper, Powderhorn, Purgatory, Silverton, Sunlight, Granby Ranch and Monarch

I'm slowing working my way through all of them. I have to update my top 5 after every trip.

Ha ha...yes it is!!

No one else has a favorite ski area?

A Basin because I really like it and I have more days there than all other CO resorts combined. Plus, I learned to snowboard at A Basin so my butt has super fond memories of catching edges while bombing
