|ridinbend||I have both, they are pretty much the same however I prefer the blue sensor myself. If you have to get a lens that is a do-it-all consider the photochromic. I also own this lens and love it. Use it on sunny days and low light days and I dont feel like I am squinting when the sun is out, which is the case the one time I wore the red sensor on a sunny day.|

Smith Red Sensor Mirror vs Blue Sensor Mirror
Just wondering if anyone has owned or tried both of these. I'm trying to decide on one right now. It appears the VLT on them are pretty similar based on the Smith site with blue at 70% and red with 60%.
I'm from Vancouver and normally ride mostly in the afternoon and evening so I don't see a whole lot of sun but I'll go mornings every now and then.
I'm leaning towards the blue right now because it has a yellowish tint that might be better for foggy days and night time. Only thing I'm afraid of is having to use it on the occasional clear skies and sunny day, I'm thinking the red will be a bit better for those days. Unfortunately I can only afford to get 1 pair right now so I can't get another lens with a dark tint for those occasions.
Wondering if anyone can share their experiences with either or both lenses.
