The guy at the ski shop O bought them from told me to wrap the handle around the heel of the boot, tuck them in the opposite side, and tuck the excess laces in the sides of the boot.

|bkrieger||Thanks, I'll try that. Also, after tucking the handles into their spots on the sides of the boot, would leaving the excess laces out instead of tucking them in make a difference? What is the best thing to do with the excess lace without releasing the laces?|

|speedjason||yea speed lacing locking is by compression. so when you are tightening, you need to tug it through the lock harder so the laces are pulling the teeth together to lock it.|

One thing a lot of people do is tighten the boot, then pull the lace back to lock it...
What you really want to do is finish tightening it WHILE pulling back, which allows the lace to slide into the locking mechanism better.

I bought the 2013 Burton Imperials last year with speedzone, and throughout the day, the laces keep coming loose. After tightening up the boots, I tuck the handles in the pockets, and then tuck the excess laces inside the boots on the sides. Maybe the by tucking the excess laces in, its tightening, and causing the loosening mechanism to trigger? Anyone else have problems with this, or have a solution?
