I had the same problem as you on a 151cm board. I'm 5"9, 165 lbs, and I went up to a 155cm and it made a world of difference. Like stated above, I'd probably go with a 154cm if I were you. Maybe 155-156 at most? You will only know what you like after testing them!

Snowboard size

Hey guys,

buying a new board, I have ran into an issue - which size of a board to get?

I am 176cm tall (5 feet 9 inches) and I weight 63 kg (about 138 pounds).
I can get either a 155cm (about my chin) or a 160cm (nose-level) board. I currently ride a 152cm board, however I tend to overturn a lot - that's why I want to get a bigger one.

I have a huge problem with overturning on the 152 board I have now. The moment I try to carve I literally make an instant 90 turn and stop dead.

On the other hand, is the 160 too long? I ride pistes and sometimes backcountry, so I don't really need a shorter board for tricks, however I am not really educated in this subject and would prefer advice from someone more experienced

Thanks a lot in advance
