I try and tell people who are upset to voice their concerns. Social media, emails, calls, whatever. Just be constructive.

I'm just as disappointed as everyone else. Haven't even been motivated enough this season to even go out once.

As far as marketing goes, they do what they gotta do. I don't pay any attention to that.
Yeah I get the game plan, but as a pass holder for the past 5 years I feel like I have a right to complain if I disagree with it. And I'm not just doing that anonymously on here, I've sent emails to the office and/or Vicki directly the past two years. I also get that it's a business and the money I spend on my pass and bar tab for an entire season is probably pretty close to what the average family from Chicago spends in a weekend. It is what it is, my time on this forum is anything but constructive.

The most frustrating part is that I know they have the resources available to build excellent parks and have failed to live up to their potential for one reason or another for several seasons now. The Tyro park does look pretty badass though based on what I can see on FB, pumped to get up there on Friday and check it out. The downside is it sounds like Aspen will be closed this weekend and the lift by Tyro is the slowest on the hill, so it's probably going to be a shitshow over there if that's the only park that's open.

Anyway sorry for the rant, it's cool to get an employees perspective, appreciate the updates Derp.

Derp are you the white guy with brown hair and mustache? Im there all the time, brown jacket/black pants, white sticker'd helmet, usually on thurs and friday, say hi if you see me!
I only work nights. Usually 4 shifts a week. Sometimes wearing my glasses, other times not. Mustache. Brown bibs with my GP jacket and cap. Motorola mic hanging on my coat. Name tag will say, "Mike L."

I'm working tonight and will look to see if your around.

What makes me crazy about GP is exactly what you're saying

They spend an inordinate amount of time/web site space comparing themselves to copper(LMAO) and trashing other area resorts with their "Vertical" and "74 runs"

Lets face it, they're all semi flat ant hills with slight variances in length and size(thats what she said)...

All I can ask is to not blame the shop guys, snow makers, lifties, or the park crew. We are all being directed by a higher power. Have to love being told what to do by people who have never once in their lives done any of the jobs I just listed above. Been that kind of year. Morale sucks!

There are a few small features up now on Sugar Maple and there are whales on Mystery waiting to be pushed so Tyro can go up. My understanding is there will be no park in the West and the park in the East is going to be scaled back. There were just too many injuries on Mission Ridge last season.
