One good way to have an idea how different angles feel is to try on a skateboard. Try duck, try both forward, try a more relaxed 15-0, and see what feels more comfortable doing what.

In the park you will see a lot of duck stances, carving you will see a lot of both forward angles, in powder something in between..

lab49232 It's about what feels comfortable but in general more binding angle means more aggressive turning. +15/-15 is pretty much the standard place to start for people who don't know what they like and then tweak from there. Should be enough to allow for aggressive enough riding but not so much that it will hurt your knees which is a common complaint with larger angles. Ride that way for a while, go more aggressive after that and ride that for an hour or two and see how that feel and then just keep playing with them till you find the sweet spot.

Booo! This thread might be useful:

You'll see that no two people have the same setup. 15/-15 centered and about shoulder width is a good place to start, especially if you plan on riding switch.
