I already have a K2 and I know they are amazing boards, so I chose K2 again. The smaller size was because the 163 honestly wasn't cutting it for me in the park. It also had something to do with my bindings which are hella heavy (cheap bindings), but the board itself was too large for me to handle in the park. I went with the happy hour because i read a ton of reviews and realized it was exactly what I wanted: great all mountain board. I'm not a strict park guy at all, so I need something that can take a full mountain on. I sized down because I said hell, I already have a big board, might as well have a small one now! If I had no board at the moment, I'd have gone with a 157-159 most likely too, just because I spend most of my time out of the park. 159 will be great man, and I'm sure you're a better boarder than me, so you can probably even ride that thing well enough in the park (it'll handle some SICK jumps!).
honestly after you get some more riding experience you will find that just about any board size can be fun to ride, you just have to ride them in a different style. I am 5'10 160lbs and I can grab any of my boards or my roommates boards to the hill. We got 153, 155, 158, 159, 163. Each one has a different personality you just have to figure out how it likes to be ridden. But I will say even a great board will be shit with crappy bindings and boots.

Dude, you're gonna have a blast. I can't wait for next season either!

So stoked man, thanks for sharing with me haha, I feel like I'm getting blue balled by my new board just sitting in the corner when I can't ride it.
