SnowDogWax Read about straps on bomber online many felt as you about straps. Found a company called Strapworks, built my own strap (2" wide 2 feet long) for $11.50 ordered 4 and got free shipping. Will look into a stiffer moldable power wrap style liners.

Mig Fullbag I have used the same Scarpa liners for the last 3 seasons. They outlasted my last 3 pairs of Driver X. Most brands/models can be remolded about 1/2 a dozen times, maybe more for some.

linvillegorge Custom liners are all the rage in ski boots. Not sure why they haven't crossed over as much to snowboarding boots. Maybe because we usually don't get the life out of our soft boots that they get out of their hard boots? I don't know.

Mig Fullbag That specific Scarpa liner is now discontinued. I made the decision 3 or 4 seasons ago to give the molded liners a try. After some research, I decided I wanted to try a powerwrap style of liner and was looking at the Intuition, Palau and Deeluxe ones. I came across a post on a hardbooter forum, while researching this, with a link to a sale on the Scarpa liners (they were changing the model/manufacturer. they are now made by Intuition I think). For $29.99 (instead of $200) + shipping, it was more than worth a try. Ended up being one of the best investments I have made in my snowboard equipment!

I am now convinced that I will never use stock traditional liners again and go for stiffer moldable powerwrap style liners. My next try will be either the Intuition or Palau.

Intuition also sells powerstraps, but I designed/built mine from a car seatbelt, a metal loop and velcro. The width of the belt combined with the reinforcements on the front of the liner distribute the pressure on the shin so you can have it really tight without discomfort when/if you need too. The liner already had a velcro on the back, so all I had to do is stick it on there.

SnowDogWax The Scarpa liner and powerstrap are both great suggestions when you get a chance could you give me info on where to purchase both. Thank You

Mig Fullbag My style of riding is based on carving. I have been using the Driver X since it came out because it is the stiffest and most responsive boot I have tried. The 2014 version is the best one up to now. They brought back the responsiveness and stiffness of the 2009 version, but with a better progressive flex.

For the last 3 years, I have also been using a heat molded liner (old version Scarpa) instead of the stock Burton. Million times more comfy. Also added a powerstrap to the top of the liner. Made these the best boots I have ever owned in my 35 years of riding.
