jabuhrer Nice pics!

I did some time in LA. I loved it in a lot of ways, and miss certain things, but I'm glad to be back in Colorado.

buggravy Living in LA, backpacking is a must for me, to clear out the mental cobwebs. I only end up making it out a few times a year, but it's such good therapy. Living 4 - 6 hours from the Sierras, I kind of feel like I have access to the holy grail. Here's a couple shots from various trips.

Me, in a stream crossing gone awry. the stick you see floating away had been my support.

Fresh reminder that we're not alone.

jabuhrer Snowolf your pictures are awesome! Makes me think I should learn to take decent pictures.

My friend that got me interested in Utah has mentioned Coyote Gulch. I'll have to check it out sometime. I love your pictures of the slots. It reminds me of Michael R. Kelsey's books, that stuff always makes me want to get into the slot canyons.

I don't know if you're into the ruins so much. I wasn't really into it until I saw a few, but now I'm hooked. If you like that kind of thing, definitely check out Grand Gulch. That place is like an outdoor museum. It's like every hundred yards you come across a full blown major archeological site. Definitely cool.

Yan - those pics are great! I'd love to do a pack trip in Canada. Everything looks so huge!

YanTheMan I love backpacking. I have a couple pictures from my 45 km trip, 3 nights.

Theres something about backpacking that makes it so good, being out in the middle of nowhere and sharing the quiet moments. Its always nice sharing a small joint at the top of a mountain!
