killclimbz First weekend (Superbowl weekend) in February is the on snow. With SIA coming to town we had to schedule it a bit later than in years previous. The other thing is, the snow pack is generally not deep enough to really go over things until the end of January anyway. The class room sessions are starting soon though, so make sure you go to one. You'll learn a ton from Bobski at the class. Guy is one of the best.

renopowers Yeah, I saw that. Had planed on doing there class this year, but it's not until Febury some time right?

killclimbz Berthoud Pass is a world class backcountry area. Few spots in the US and Canada have it so good.

If you want to learn about riding in the back country, Friends of Berthoud Pass does a low cost avalanche awareness course every winter. You just need to attend a class room session, join FOBP, and show up for the on snow day where we take you out and put those lessons from the classroom to use in the field. It's a great way to dip your big toe into the scene and see if it's something you want to explore more or not.

Personally I'm just not that experienced with back country riding. I'd love to rider there, but I feel like I need to take an avalanche class, and find someone who's more experienced to go with before I go get myself hurt or killed.

This team is equally supportive of Backcountry riding and free riding as it is park!

renopowers Yeah, we're really focus on riders that are weekend warriors so to speak. Not to say we won't try to get up every chance we can, but it's just different for those of us who live outside of the resort area and maybe work for a living.

As far as mountains go, we don't belong to any specific mountain. Likely we'll even end up splitting up at times. We'll have guys who want to stay in the park at Keystone and guys who want to ride the bowls at Copper. Skiers may want to jar their teeth on the bumps at WP/MJ.

As the team continues to fill out, we'll develop a little more of a grove. I'm sure we'll have some places you can find us on a regular basis.

I'd like to work with Woodward guys at Copper, I've only seen pictures and video of the facilities, but those Woodward guys seem to know how to do things.

renopowers For those with the ability to, Team 22 29 will be rocking mustaches this season.

You have to have permission from the ladies though. As cool as mustaches are, they can be a little creepy some times!!
