linvillegorge I'm over this summer mess. This may not be the hottest summer of the last decade here in CO (or maybe it is, I don't know, I haven't checked) but with this humidity it sure as hell feels like it. It's been "back east hot" out here this summer.

Naw,..!! It ain't easy. I know. Spent 2-3 years hanging drywall in SOcal after my discharge. I can tape & mud,.. But like SK, I'm not very good at it and have to work 10x harder to get an acceptable looking result.

Anyway,.. You should be proud a dat DIY shit!! Proudly declare to those pros, "I'm the F*ing idiot that screwed it up last time!" They'll be all embarrassed and feel like A**holes!

(...just don't admit that until AFTER you get the quote! The Price for a job usually goes up 50% min if they know you tried to do it first!)

And saturating the ceiling and raising the humidity in the house to 90% is just really awesome added bonus in a heatwave too!

I thought about just covering but I'm a one man outfit so there's no way it'd be easier, and I really don't like mudding.
