ItchEtrigR Pushing is quite addictive, slams are inevitable, it's a good and bad thing at the same time, bad cuz shit hurts and road rash sucks but good cuz if your made out for this nothing is going to stop you from getting on your board again and bombing that same hill.

Lol, it's fun how a new activity can change ones perception. I know it from eventing. Oh, a horse trough, wine cask, park bench, picnics table... nice obstacle. Jump it. Oh... a baby stroller.. !

Rogue Longboarding

I can't believe how difficult it was just stepping on the board LOL I have mad respect for skateboarders now! Once I got the hang of it, and rolled around a curve....oh I'm hooked. Concrete will never look the same! However, I plan on very mellow, low consequence riding. I was warned by friend, no matter what I'm going to fall at some point, it's just going to happen so aim for the grass LOL . Looking forward to seeing how this improves my balance for the summer and consequently snowboard skills!

We could ship you some! We have about a dozen bears that have set up shop in a park in Victoria, making a living by robbing tourists. They run after people until they drop their backpacks, which often contain food.

The bears are easy to spot. They have prominent tattoos, wear Hells Angels patches, and have toothpicks hanging out of their mouths.

f00bar Inept over seas shippers.

Entire 1st week of work trip to Madrid spent being a tourist because a shipping crate was lost in Luxemberg. Supposedly in Spain now but presumably stills needs to clear customs and make the rest of the journey so I'm thinking more tourist until Tuesday at least.

To make matters worse,... the crappy stamped steel lug wrench that is provided, stripped one of the nuts. I Almost wasn't able to remove the flat AT ALL! Luckily,.. I hammered the thing onto the nut with the scissor jack of all things and standing on the wrench got the last nut off!

So this morning, needing the puncture plugged. I took it in to the local Discount Tire shop. But,.. with the upcoming holiday weekend EVERYBODY was in getting last minute travel fixes. So the wait to have it fixed AND mounted was going to be a ridiculously looong one. Since, I needed this done for work by 2:00, I left the tire to be plugged only, and would mount it myself @ home. I was given a 40-50 min window. TWO HOURS later it was finally finished. I arrived @ the shop prepared to be upset & cranky, but when I asked "how much?" I was told "it was on them!"

Puncture fixed, new tpm valve stem and wheel balanced,.. No Charge???

That type of customer service will have me returning for sure, wait or no wait! I don't expect freebies,.. but I certainly do appreciate them when I get them.

With that one gesture,.. they managed to remove 98% of the anger, sting and frustration over this whole F'd up situ.

Thats the Way to make happy customers out of pissy, grumpy 'ol curmudgeonly ones!!

Their customer service is why that's the only place I've bought tires for the last 15+ years.
