Rain in Banff
Louise always opens early November. Usually by November 11th there is enough snow in the area but the one run, WiWaxy, is not worth the price or the line ups. I drove by the it last weekend and it was raining pretty hard on the highway but I don't think they got much snow up top.

|Zee||Last year was a different, we got hit by an early snowfall, November and early December were epic. It's not looking so good for early season right now.|

Went last year the day before opening day at SSV, and we had a foot of fresh snow on the ground, and lots of fun little kickers along the side.
Wasn't epic by any means, but it was pretty awesome riding for early nov.

|stunt66||they dont even open till mid november and like zee said, they have 1 run open and its basically a demo derby. I've gone a few times on opening day but it's been too crazy the last few years, imagine having first time skiers/boarders, intermediate skiers/boarders and pro skiers/boarders all going down 1 run The run itself ain't even that wide.|

|Zee||Unless there is a huge dump (several feet), Lake Louise is not worth it in early November. They don't call it the Wiwaxy 500 for no reason.|

Lake Louise - Week of November 8th - Any Good?
I'll be in Calgary the week of November 8th, and wanted try hitting Lake Louise since I've never ridden it before. Can anyone speak from experience what LL is like in early November?
I'm not expecting anything amazing,I'm just too much of a fiend to pass on the opportunity to ride before Whistler and Grouse and the other local mountains are open.
Also, long time forum stalker, this is my first post
