|Mr. Right||Factory wax jobs are usually put in place to keep the base from becoming real dry before the sale of the board. If I was you I'd take it to get a good hot wax before you ride it. I rode my M3 with the factory wax job when I got it and I definitely noticed a difference when I got a real wax job done on it.|

|kuocal||If you have the time i would wax it at home (or have someone do it) prior to taking it out. I have bought boards that i set up and rode straight "off the shelf" and for the most part was fine but the factory wax job is usually pretty dried and brittle by the time it gets into your hands. In all cases I waxed it the evening after the first ride.|

Hey, i just got my new gnu rider's choice and i'm about to take it out for its virgin ride on thursday.
My question is, do i want to get it hot waxed before i ride it? it says it comes pre-waxed with one ball jay or something like that, but i've never heard good things about factory wax before this.
Any opinion one way or another?
