jgsqueak Try them on, lace them up, and flex them...when all three of those steps work for you, you found your boot.

If you want alternative lacing systems, you could look into BOA boots too.

any suggestions for intermediate boots?

i'm shopping for my 2nd pair of boots. my first were burton freestyles. want to upgrade to something around and intermediate level, with some more stiffness. oh, and i'm leaning towards a speed lace system. any suggestions? so far, looking around the 2 that seem to fit that profile are the salomon f20 and burton ruler
