uh oh a virus ^^^ wear a helmet with built in speakers, zone out, and you can do anything. it feels so great spinning a 360 clean and just realizing what you did as your going up the 2nd kicker. and about the balance part, as soon as your on the rail, dont move a muscle.

Having a good song blaring helps me to avoid "over concentrating" on a feature and psyching myself out. And like mooz said, pads help immensely when learning rails.

Knee pads, butt pads, hip pads and a helmet. You'll feel invincible. You'll also feel like a linebacker but invincible none the less.

Staying balanced is just keeping the board flat and your weight over the board.

Help with downrails?

I don't have an issue with falling or anything, I just can't get onto them. I always get too scared that I'll slip out. Does anyone have any tips for overcoming the fear? And also, what do I do to stay balanced after I finally do get onto the rail? Mainly talking about 50-50s, front boards, and back boards for now.
