dreampow whilst the maker of this vid has an angle, if you look at what very rich people are doing around the world, it is getting out of dollar and euro currency.
People with the best financial advisers and insider knowledge have been buying assets that will survive a big global economic meltdown for some time now (property, gold, silver and to some extent Asian currencies).

The writing is on the wall.

I don't know exactly what will unfold or how bad it will be but I think its foolish to pretend that the dollar will be OK and somehow the debts will be worked out. Its way past that point.

What is interesting is it almost seems its been intentionally driven in that direction.

SPAZ Just a thought, I wonder how substantial the percentage of sales tax lost is due to online shopping and buying items in other states and having them shipped.

CheeseForSteeze It's not news. Many people such as Schiff, Faber and Rogers were warning people to get out of or even short mortgage derivatives collateralized from sub prime borrowers in the mid 2000's because of the fundamental problems where loans were originated under the exclusive pretense of being eventually sold on a secondary market made possible by FNMA and FHLMC.

The points he makes are valid regarding the currency collapse, though. These are problems inherit in any centrally banked fiat currency system which is abused.

snowjeeper Back on topic though, you guys need to do some research before posting crap:
Stansberry Research Reviews - Legit or Scam?
Though Stansberry Research works hard to seem like an investment company, the reality is that they are simply an umbrella website that draws internet traffic to a single site and then sells subscriptions for a variety of people who use them for publishing purposes

The judge found Stansberry guilty of intentionally defrauding his clients by falsely claiming to have the ‘inside track’ on government deals and charging his clients $1,000 each for access to this ‘inside’ information. In addition, Stansberry used the rising price of the stock he was promoting as proof of his knowledge and reliability to convince further clients to purchase the stock.

So this guy is basically a bullshit scammer. Any asshole can predict doom and gloom, and many do. Harold Camping anyone?

HoboMaster As with my own life, I always assume my country is doing the worst shit possible. Why? Because if we understand the problem and realize we are a big part of the solution, it can be fixed. Patriotic denial on the otherhand does nothing to solve the problem. It picks a scapegoat and lays the blame elsewhere while the problem grows exponentially in scope. I love the U.S but I am never so patriotic so as to not criticize it's shortcomings in full. I always criticize the U.S before a foreign nation.

Regarding war stimulating the economy, it does have that effect but things have changed since WW2. Just like our whole economy, the revenue created from wartime efforts goes to several mega-corporations who more or less lump the money, rather then it going to a wider distribution of contractors and the wealth being spread out. It's direct vs. trickle-down, and trickle-down involves shit like outsourcing. Snowolf has it right on.

dreampow You make a fair point, I can be a bias.

As you have probably guessed by now I will take the opposing view when people play the patriotic bugle.
Any country. Its just as bad in the UK or Japan. People get their flag out and will support total nonsense if their patriotic buttons are pushed. I see it as a means to control.

Julius Ceasar "divide and conquer".

I feel we need to get over looking at things from "our countries" perspective and see the planet as it is. With no lines between countries. The economy is so interlinked we can't just have one country doing well, either we all learn to prosper and have a sustainable way of life or we are all up the creek.

You and any regular American is drained thorough war I agree, but there are many who benefit financially.

Whilst Thunder likens the US military to the worlds police many people around the world see it quite the opposite.

Like the bully imposing himself and throwing his weight around where it is often not helpful to the people who live there.
In fact often disastrous.

I was just pointing out that many of the wars (UN sanctioned or not) were basically started by the "police" themselves.

I am not trying to say the USA is inherently bad either, just that the upper political structure and big business in the USA and around the world are in bed.

You have been taught to be "patriotic" and stand up for the USA when its criticized. Just as I have for the UK where I grew up.

If we can get see things without those "patriotic glasses" on they are often quite different than what we thought they were.

We the regular people of planet earth are pretty much all against war.

Then why is it that our planet has been subject to constant wars even in the last 50 years?

Don't you think that something is wrong with that picture?

Wars solve nothing but they do make great business.
You fill in the blanks.
War is big business in this country, but so is everything else. Pull in this country? yes, but you know what has more pull? corn farmers. The politics in this country are Bull shit we all know that.

I understand your point about starting wars, and the whole "World Police" thing is a pile of horse shit thats fed to us by our government and media.

That being said your initial post is blatantly bias and I will defend my country against that. yeah our country has done some stupid shit(which country hasn't?) but odds are you've eaten beef lately, or wheat bread, or anything containing refined corn, some of that probably came from the US, but you probably don't own any USA made weapons.

Just because your viewpoint comes from the "outside" does not make it any more or less bias, or correct for that matter.
