brownSnow i've got a VIO POV 1.5, been using it for a couple years now, never lets me down. Editing wise, if you want to do simple stuff try iMovie

No 1280X72060fps or or still photo capabilities and not even close to as rugged as waterproof as GoPro, I'll stick with my Hero2 for my purposes.

Towkin Also, once you start taking videos you're going to want to make videos (duh!). Therefore, make sure that you have a decent cpu that can handle video editing software.

Towkin I have an Hero (and just ordered a Hero2) and love it. Take it anywhere and don't have to worry about it breaking. Also used it for snorkeling in Aruba and got some good shots. Haven't taken many still shots with it, but the video quality is excellent( there are plenty of online videos for you to watch). The only thing that I dislike is that, in the waterproof case, the sound is completely worthless. But because it is in a waterproof case, and most videos have music overlay anyway, it is not that big of a deal.

Helmet Cams

Im takin a trip to Colorado this year and would love to be able to get some good shots. Anyone have experience with one of those mountable helmet cams? I have none whatsoever and don't even know where to start with deciding where to go with one. Do they shoot good video / still shots? anyone have recommendations? Would I be better off just taking a digital camera?
