I love my stashed at Vail but the B.S. involved sucks a lot of fun out of it for me

I just read in today's paper this was a kid from my area. He went to high school next town over.
This is very sad, the details are similar to what was posted, and I don't know his skill level.
To add to this I posted in another thread about this.
This is the 2nd student in 2 weeks to die at that school. The first was a competition skier that had practice the night before and never woke in the morning for school. It was found out that it was a heart defect.
our prayers to both families.

Breck, Vail, Key, Beaver, Copper and WP are all as safe as your going to get and remain legit places to ride.....
Everything that could be dangerous is clearly marked or padded
I am actually so used to everything being so clearly marked that I about killed myself on my very first run at Snowbasin in Utah. You're on your own out there..... CO resorts for the most part are dumbed down and you have to go out of bounds for the good stuff.
Sucks for this guy, I would say I'm surprised to hear this but with the stupid crap I hear people doing, not much surprises me anymore.

I've said it before and it still holds true. A good portion of these people from out of state just turn off their brain the second they board the plane. They then act in ways they never would anywhere near their home. Typically reckless.
Others, are just trying to push themselves and happen to go right over that line.
There have been a lot of ski hill deaths all over. The East Coast has actually had a high amount.
As far as this soul goes. Hitting fixed objects like a shack tend to do this for you. It is not like this was snow making equipment left carelessly on the run, it was a shack. Most people generally recognize them for objects that don't move when you hit them.

All the people that died this year were beginners for the most part -- Maybe they should make lessons mandatory, kind of like taking the hunting corse for shooting a gun.
I even think that's stupid and useless, but that's really all you can do. I wouldn't be surprised if their insurance companies put something to that effect in place.
People have poor judgement, and it finally caught up to them..sadly, it was while they were boarding in CO =[

Stay at home, or stick to padded rooms, OK? I hear those fun houses with the bouncy ball room is really fun. Try that forum.
Think about what you are saying, you must be really young and dumb.
