snowvols Oh well just means I will switch to Vimeo. Also doing the same tour this weekend but will have pow and hit the area I wanted to hit. The East Couloir should be super fun in pow.

killclimbz I fucking hate youtube! Seriously, you can't put music on a video that you get no profit from? Music you bought? Fuck them and fuck EMI. If you download it to VIMEO, they won't rape it. I've been burned by this one a few times too and oneshot finally pointed me to the right way. I am done with youtube for this very reason.

snowvols Hmm odd. I am on my work computer and it is pulling up fine Figured it wouldn't pull it up at work since I uploaded it on a different computer. Sorry about that. Dumb copyright garbage

ryan14410 The technical skinning only emphasizes proper technique. I can easily understand someone's frustration on an icy/slippery skin track when it's someone's second day on a split, but it's only gonna make you better. They don't say "earn your turns" for no reason. Splitting's not just about the ride down. I think it was a good experience for them, regardless if they hated it or not.

killclimbz Getting out and skinning is way better than sitting around doing nothing or working. Nice pics!

killclimbz Freakin' snowshoer's. God damn do they piss me off. At Bert, we'll put in a skin track to Floral. Part of the track is the only way to get out there. So it's shared, and I am okay with that. The forest service road section though. We'll put in a track then snowshoers and post holers will use that. Okay fine. So we'll put in another skin track. So what happens? Instead of using the post hole track, which is easier for them btw, they fucking hike in the skin track again. Yes, there has been close to some fist fights over that one...

TR: Utah is still in sad shape

Opted to dawn patrol Argenta this morning with a few guys. Was a pretty good crew, but I got too greedy in terrain selection. I should have picked more mellow terrain since it was a couple guys second day touring. Instead I picked the toughest skin track in BCC. Due to this we didn't reach our objective before frustration took over due to steep icy skin tracks and we turned around on the ridge. Coming down the Argenta slide path was pretty miserable. Up high from the ridge down to the end of the headwall was money. It was North facing pow. Once you got off of true north though it turned to a nasty crust. There was a heat and/or a wind crust depending on where you were at. In the slide path were tons of shrubs you had to navigate. Those were not fun especially thinking last year they were covered.

There is a nice flip in here from dropping a small rock with my nose burying under a super stout crust.

Finally the sun is rising. Time to take the head lamps off

Skinning up Argenta.

Kessler summit and a nice chute I wanted to bag

Broads Fork Area

Coming up the headwall where the skin track was icy and chewed up by a snowshoer. Pretty lame if you ask me.

My line coming down
