dreampow Damn, I just noticed the price. Hell yeah.

I might pass through Niseko next season we should meet up for a few laps.

ETM will be there too and probably Rusutsu in early Feb. I will be there if I can, I have family commitments too.

I'm going to give this new shape for sir floatalot a try.
Seems like sir floatalot is quite an advanced board. Hope I can manage!

I've been looking at past posts and VMan weighed the Summit 161cm at 7 lbs. 167cm one will probably weigh even more than 7lb

Thanks
Good move. Niseko is definately natural habitat for that fine specimen. I was drooling looking at the nose shape in the vid. If they made a bigger one I would have to own it at that price!

dreampow Do it

and be sure to let us know how it handles

ETM Correct. If you look at the sir floatalot you can see it has a very small effective edge, it would handle like a very short board IMO, the nose and tail only come into play when you hit the powder. Im not sure it would be great for the groomers but I may be wrong! As I said I would love to try it, it is an exciting shape.
The neversummer- meh. Heavy, not exactly a great shape for powder IMO. Riding my Neversummer SL in Hokkaido was like having an anchor tied to my feet. I only ride mine when the snow is shit.

sir floatalot seems to have reverse sidecut. Does this ride more like a travis rice banana hammock than a malolo or a summit?

I never rode any reverse sidecut board. Will this be difficult to ride on trail runs?
I have never ridden the Sir Floatalot, but I think it only has reverse sidecut at the tip and tail (not throughout the board like the Banana Hammock).

+1. I am a little taller (5'9") but lighter (145-155lbs) than the OP and ride similar sized boards (155-159) for the day-to-day stuff. But for big powder days in Niseko I pull out the 163 Sick Stick.
